JOB SUMMARY / DESCRIPTION:

The Training Manager will identify needs within Saz’s Hospitality Group and design, plan and implement training programs, policies and procedures to fulfill those needs. You’ll work closely with Department Managers and HR. This is a hands-on position, starting at $65,000. While there will be time in the office, most will be spent in the field at events, actively coaching and mentoring our team to provide outstanding guest service, customer experience and hospitality.

REQUIREMENTS:  

Review existing programs; enhance and modify to improve engagement, learning and retention

  • Ensure that materials and programs are relevant, current, accurate and effective
  • Create materials to be distributed during training sessions
  • Create internal materials to announce training programs and details
  • Establish continuing training programs for tenured team members to prepare them for the next step in their career path
  • Facilitate training required and recommended additional training programs
  • Collaborate with department leaders to ensure team members are understanding and applying the information they receive
  • Ensure milestones and goals are met by tracking employee success and progress
  • Prepare, implement, and adhere to training budget

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of the learning processes
  • Ability to moderate small to large groups
  • Hospitality mindset with high-quality and service standards
  • Extremely detailed and organized
  • Strong understanding of business goals and standards for customer service
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Suite and graphic design programs
  • Able to learn various industry-specific software

  • Innovative, analytical, and creative

Education / Experience

  • Hospitality/catering experience required; casual to formal
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in training

Miscellaneous

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Up to 12 hours shifts working events; standing, lifting, placing, walking, etc.
  • Frequently off-site; reliable transportation necessary; clean driving record (insurable)
  • Will work at events, often evenings and weekends
  • Tuesday – Saturday schedule, with flexibility
