MMSD is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Organizational Development/DEI Administrator in the Executive Director Division.  Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, you analyze, design, plan, implement, and monitor MMSD people-centric training, programs, and practices to optimize MMSD performance, aligning with MMSD's mission, vision, values, and culture.  You focus on systemic change through activities at the organizational, group, and individual levels, with the goal of enhancing effectiveness across MMSD.  You interpret MMSD's cultural health, ensuring there is alignment with desired organizational culture and norms.  

JOB SUMMARY / DESCRIPTION:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate training for staff to improve cultural health and pressing issues. 
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources Manager to identify training applicable to supervisors, plan training for supervisor forum meetings, and conduct new supervisor orientation.
  • Ensure all training milestones and goals are met via follow-up studies/surveys. 
  • Develop and implement staff mentoring program to aid in orientation, retention, and succession planning. 
  • Conduct organizational culture assessments and improvement identification and planning. 
  • Coordinate employee community service events to establish team building exercises where appropriate. 
  • Lead and support the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Council. 
  • Develop, administer, and organize DEI initiatives and policies. 
  • Complete special projects as assigned.  

REQUIREMENTS:  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in organizational development, business management, organizational psychology, human resources, communications, or a related field.
  • Two to three years of job-related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in creative problem solving.
  • High degree of interpersonal and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts.
  • Excellent written, verbal, public speaking, and communication skills. 
  • Effective change management/organizational development experience. 
  • Excellent facilitator skills.
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives. 
  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and teambuilding skills.
  • Computer software proficiency.
