The Recruiter role is results-driven to align initiatives and function with the firm’s needs. This includes but is not limited to assisting with recruiting, enhancing employee performance, supporting employee development, onboarding processes, and communication. This role promotes best practices to gain, attract, and retain staff.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified applicants for open positions working in partnership with the HR manager; collaborates with market leaders to understand skills and competencies required.
  • Develops applicant sourcing by utilizing research, connections, and networking while maintaining rapport.
  • Coordinates new employee onboarding scheduling; updates and prepares materials associated with onboarding, including new hire paperwork.
  • Assists with firm’s performance review processes.
  • Conducts exit interviews and prepares summaries of themes. 
  • Implements employee satisfaction surveys and assists with determining recommendations working with Leadership.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Provides knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Will assist with special projects on an as-needed basis.

JOB SUMMARY / DESCRIPTION:

REQUIREMENTS:  

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 4 years of HR experience 
  • Familiarity with recruiting in the AEC industry
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office software suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • HRIS / Payroll system experience – ADP or Paycor knowledge preferred. 
  • Demonstrated HRIS reporting experience is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with administration of the talent management systems.
  • Understanding of basic benefits processes, including COBRA
